Our areas of practice are highlighted by three (3) very important subjects: Estate Planning, Medicaid Planning, and Probate.
Estate Planning consists of developing Wills or Trusts to help direct distribution of assets upon your death. We also draft Durable Powers of Attorney, Health Care Powers of Attorney, HIPPA Releases, and Living Wills, which documents are extremely important to have in place during your lifetime.
Medicaid Planning is essentially an area of law that covers two (2) things: 1st, Medicaid Planning allows clients to either plan in advance to protect assets if and when a client needs nursing home care; and 2nd, we regularly assist clients in working to protect and preserve assets for the family when someone is in a nursing home, or is receiving or will be eligible to receive Medicaid Waiver services.
After someone passes away, we handle the probate and trust process, and work with surviving spouses and children to effect provisions of a Decedent’s Will or Trust. My office is well-versed in probate law and can help you gain access to those estate assets.
